EngFlow Remote Caching
Austin, Texas, United States
What it is
EngFlow Remote Caching is a remote cache service intended to reduce repeated builds and test reruns, developer workload and compute costs. It uses gRPC, cache compression and Build without the Bytes to limit latency and unnecessary transfers. A layered cache keeps frequently accessed data available, while the Build & Test UI displays cache hit rates, build time and status in real time. The Free tier supports Bazel and provides in-cluster caching on one Linux machine with 32 CPU cores. Enterprise supports Bazel, Goma for Chromium and Soong for AOSP, as well as in-cluster or external cache storage such as S3 and GCS. Free is self-hosted; Enterprise can be self-hosted or managed. EngFlow says builds run in isolated environments with encryption and dedicated infrastructure by default, and that its solutions receive regular third-party audits against the five SOC 2 principles. Free is listed as free; Enterprise pricing is by custom quote. A trial request form is offered, but no trial duration is stated.
For and against

- Free tier includes one machine and 32 CPU cores.
- Enterprise supports in-cluster and external cache storage.
- Enterprise can be managed or self-hosted.
Against
- Free tier supports Bazel only.
- Free tier is limited to one machine.
- Enterprise pricing requires a custom quote.
The verdict
EngFlow Remote Caching targets repeated build and test work with cache visibility and multiple deployment choices. Compare the Free tier's Bazel and single-machine limits with Enterprise's broader build-system support.
Who it suits
The Free tier may suit Bazel users who need self-hosted caching on a single Linux machine. Enterprise is described for projects ranging from small teams to enterprise-scale software and supports additional build systems and deployment options.
