Stockholm, Sweden
What it is
educations.com is a free web service for students researching international study. Its homepage advertises more than 120,000 study-abroad programs searchable by field and destination, with filters for language and degree type. Listings include bachelor's, master's, MBA, PhD, distance learning, preparatory, doctoral, postgraduate, post-bachelor's, and postdoctoral options. Program Explorer asks questions and matches students with programs. Students can request information from a school or program page; submitted details go directly to that provider, which becomes a separate data controller. An account lets users track academic interests and communicate with providers after an inquiry. The site offers free, unlimited access to current and future webinars after one sign-up, and its FAQ says students can talk directly with students through Unibuddy. educations.com says it awards over $46,000 across eight scholarships each year. Personal data is processed under rules including GDPR, with stated safeguards and transfer mechanisms for data handled outside the EU/EEA. Site content is for personal, non-commercial use.
