Diode Collab
What it is
Diode Collab brings team messaging, file sharing, and remote access together for teams, families, and organizations. It runs on Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows, with direct messages and group channels that use end-to-end encryption by default. Members can collaborate on and sync files; backup is available on eligible plans. Files can also be shared through browser upload and download links, including with recipients who do not have the app. Diode lists unlimited storage and unlimited users on all plans. New Zones start on the free Nomad plan and can be upgraded in the app. Paid plans are billed per user: Group is $3 a month, Team is $10 a month, and Business is $15 a month. Business adds secure equipment access, regional access tunnels, and custom endpoints. The maker says signup uses pseudonymous identities without requiring a phone number or other personally identifiable information, and that no data is stored on servers. The first device is the only one able to save a backup code; losing account access without it can result in permanent account loss.
