What it is
Dify is a platform for building AI applications, combining visual workflow design, knowledge retrieval, model connections and publishing options. In Workflow Studio, teams can arrange model calls, tools, code, branching, triggers and human review on a shared canvas. Workflows can start from user input, API calls, schedules, webhooks, plugin events or uploaded data. Knowledge Pipeline turns files and web content into searchable knowledge bases, with semantic, keyword, hybrid or reranked retrieval and citation support. Applications can be published as hosted web apps, website embeds, API endpoints or MCP servers. Dify connects with model providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini and xAI; its Marketplace includes more than 200 tools. The open-source Community Edition can be deployed with Docker. Enterprise deployment options include customer VPCs, on-premises systems and air-gapped networks. Dify has free Sandbox and Community plans; Professional is listed at $590 per workspace per year, and Team at $1590 per workspace per year. Enterprise pricing is custom.
