DeskFX Audio Enhancer
What it is
DeskFX Audio Enhancer changes audio from computer speakers and headphones in real time. It runs on Windows and macOS and works with music services, streaming TV and movies, games, and other computer audio. Effects include equalization, amplification, reverb, chorus, wahwah, vibrato, and tremolo. Users can layer an unlimited number of effects and choose from more than 30 presets. Equalizer choices include visual, graphic, and parametric modes, and the system-wide equalizer supports up to 20 bands. NCH describes possible use in gyms, foyers, retail settings, and waiting rooms, including pink-noise masking for privacy; low latency and CPU usage are listed as suitable for live-stream applications. The free version is for non-commercial use. The commercial quarterly license costs $9.99 a month, billed quarterly and automatically renewed. Annual plans cost $34.99 a year for personal use or $39.95 a year for commercial use; both list +VAT/year. Requirements cover Windows 7 through 11 and macOS 10.9 or above.
