Data Deposit Box
What it is
Data Deposit Box provides continuous cloud backup for computers, mobile devices, and supported NAS devices under one account. It captures file changes as they happen, without a backup schedule, and keeps time-stamped versions for restoration within the retention window. Cloud Drive adds drag-and-drop storage for files outside backup selections. LiveLink offers browser access to files on devices running its agent without a VPN, while file and folder sharing works by email or link with optional password protection.
The service supports Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web, and Windows. Its monthly plan costs $20 a month and includes 200 GB of backup storage, unlimited devices, and every feature; additional storage costs $0.10/GB. A 14-day trial is available, but there is no free plan. The company says data is encrypted before upload and protected in transit and at rest, and that customer data is stored in Canadian data centres. On iOS, backup covers photos and contacts, not videos or documents.
