Dark Souls Remastered Archipelago
What it is
Dark Souls Remastered Archipelago, or DSAP, is a free, open-source Archipelago multiworld randomizer and client for Dark Souls Remastered. It places eligible item locations into a shared pool, allowing items to appear elsewhere while original locations hold replacements. Players can customize starting equipment, weapon upgrades or infusions, location and region exclusions, and other randomization choices. Fogwall Sanity is enabled by default: required pool items can keep fog walls locked, and passing through a wall counts as a check. Goals include defeating Gwyn, all 26 bosses, Manus, or Ornstein and Smough. Setup requires Archipelago Launcher 0.6.7 or later, the dsr.apworld file, and the Windows x64 desktop client; worlds can be hosted through the launcher or Archipelago.gg. PopTracker and a DSR map pack are optional. Windows support is listed, while Linux use through Proton is preliminary. The project is beta and unstable, with occasional crashes and possible Fog Wall Key issues. The client must remain running during play, and network connection to FromSoftware servers is warned against.
