What it is
CueCast Prompter is cross-platform teleprompting software for editing scripts and displaying them with smooth scrolling. Its editor supports bold, italic, underline, colours, highlights, baseline and alignment formatting, and emoji. It imports Word, PowerPoint, and OpenOffice documents and can export scripts to PDF. The free plan includes basic prompting, script editing, script-based triggers, and full-screen prompting on a local display. Pro includes a basic 100-minute timer and an advanced timer with countdown, count-up, time-based countdowns, coloured tags, and labels. It also supports NewTek NDI, output to Blackmagic Design devices using SDI/SMPTE2110, IP-based remote control, and unlimited remote extenders. SlideSync can synchronise stories with slides in PowerPoint, ProPresenter, and XPression. A free Pro trial lasts 30 days; afterward, features are limited to basic prompting and script editing unless a Pro licence is purchased. Current downloads require Windows 10 or newer on Intel/AMD PCs, Windows 11 on ARM PCs, or macOS 12 Monterey or newer; Linux downloads are also offered.
