ContainerMath
What it is
ContainerMath is a web and API tool for planning cargo loads in cartons, crates and transport equipment. It turns cargo lists into optimized plans, while Carton Fit reports units per box and boxes required. Plans provide interactive 3D placement, a 2D cross-section and a share link that can open the load in augmented reality. Its packing engine handles mixed box sizes, stacking, orientations and pipe nesting, and can suggest a mixed fleet when the final container would be nearly empty. Supported freight includes boxes, pallets, crates, bars, pipes, rolls, drums, bottles, IBC totes, sacks, big bags and pouches. More than 50 vessel types span sea, road, rail and air ULDs. AI manifest import reads sizes, weights and quantities from lists or spreadsheets. Plans include center of gravity; road plans add per-axle weights and legal re-stow searches. The free trial provides four calculations, and paid plans start at $39.99 a month.
For and against
For
- Interactive 3D, 2D and augmented-reality views
- Supports mixed box sizes and pipe nesting
- Covers more than 50 vessel types
- Checks center of gravity and axle weights
- Offers REST API access
Against
- Free trial allows four calculations total
- Starter lacks PDF and CSV downloads
- Pro Plus API is limited to 2,000 monthly requests
- AI inputs are sent to a third-party provider
The verdict
ContainerMath combines detailed load planning, weight checks, cargo import and transport coverage. Its trial is limited, and plan-specific API and document restrictions matter for larger workflows.
Who it suits
ContainerMath suits manufacturers, exporters, dispatch teams, freight planners, project suppliers, retailers, distributors and 3PLs. It is useful for teams needing container, truck, delivery-sequencing and weight planning through web or API access.
