c-SPOT
What it is
c-SPOT is a free, open-source service-planning application for small churches. It organizes Sunday and midweek services and other events, including orders of service, staffing, resources, worship songs, and event details. Song materials can include lyrics, scores, and guitar chords, with OnSong format support for musicians. Songs and other items can become presentation slides, including offline presentations from slides cached on a local computer. A slideshow can be controlled through a casting device such as Chromecast or a smartphone synced to the presentation device. Users can make changes according to role permissions and communicate by email or internal messages. The project tracks song use for CCLI reporting and provides links to SongSelect. It runs through an up-to-date browser with JavaScript and can be added to a mobile home screen through Chrome. Self-hosting is possible on the user's web host, but installation calls for console access, Composer, Git, a database, and configured mail-server connectivity. Development customization requires basic Laravel knowledge. Synchronized lyrics, chords, or sheet music across designated devices work only on Apache servers.
