Astah Professional is a desktop application for visualizing software design with UML, ERD, data flow, flowchart, requirement, CRUD, and mind map diagrams. UML coverage includes class, use case, state machine, activity, sequence, timing, communication, component, deployment, and composite structure models. ER diagrams can be drawn manually or generated from imported database tables, with SQL export and reverse engineering. Astah also reverse engineers Java, C#, and C++ and generates code for PHP, SQL, and other languages. Modeling tools include automatic layout, traceability maps, project comparison and merging, map view, and state transition paths and tables. Team features provide file locking, file merging, model comparison, and read-only project references, but no real-time collaboration. The API and Script Editor can retrieve and modify models.
