AIMoCap
What it is
AIMoCap is a browser-based AI motion-capture platform that converts source videos into 3D animation for animation and robot-motion workflows. Users upload a video, trim the movement, choose a target, submit processing, then preview or download the result. The service captures body and finger motion together and aims to retain natural weight shifts while reducing visible foot sliding. Targets include Default, MMD, Mixamo, CC&iClone, Roblox R15 and custom characters, plus Unitree G1 robot output. Humanoid results are FBX animation files; Unitree G1 results are Mujoco-oriented JSON motion data. Supported output rates are 24, 30, 60 and 120 fps. An asynchronous developer API uses bearer keys and supports batch jobs. The Free plan costs nothing; paid plans start at $9.90 per month. Custom-character uploads currently accept humanoid FBX assets only, while custom robot uploads are planned for a later release.
For and against
For
- Captures body and finger motion together
- Supports multiple humanoid targets
- Unitree G1 robot output
- 24 to 120 fps options
- Asynchronous API with batch jobs
Against
- Free plan limits videos to 30 seconds
- Custom uploads currently require humanoid FBX
- No real-time output
- No-reason refunds are not offered
The verdict
AIMoCap provides video-to-animation processing with humanoid and Unitree G1 targets, plus API access. The free tier offers a starting point, while duration, file, concurrency and custom-character limits vary by plan.
Who it suits
It suits animators, creators and robotics teams turning recorded movement into character or robot motion. Developers can use the API for batch processing in internal tools and pipelines.
