What it is
Advanced Port Scanner is a free Windows desktop utility for finding open network ports and identifying versions of programs running on detected ports. Users choose an IP address range and a list of TCP or UDP ports to scan. Multi-threaded scanning is available, while a separate high-accuracy option checks each computer several times at a slower pace. For LAN management, the software includes Wake-On-LAN, remote shutdown, and commands that can be run on remote computers. Discovered computers can be opened through HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, Telnet, SSH, RDP, or Radmin; settings allow clients for some protocols to be configured. Lists of computers can be saved as XML, HTML, or CSV, and favorites can be loaded from XML. The product integrates with Radmin, but Radmin Viewer must be installed to connect to a remote computer through that integration.
