ActiveNav Discovery Center
Reston, Virginia, USA
What it is
ActiveNav Discovery Center indexes and analyzes files held in source repositories, then provides reports and actions based on those results. It is designed for unstructured data discovery, with rule-based classification automation. Discovery Center Workbench lets teams design, build, and test custom classifications before deploying them. Supported sources include file shares, Exchange, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, OpenText Content Server, and Azure Files. The web application runs through Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), with web and Windows listed as platforms. It can be installed locally, remotely, or in a distributed configuration using Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Analysis Services. The server requires Windows Server 2012 or later and SQL Server 2012 or later. Capacity planning uses Files Under Management, while standard licensing is based on Volume Under Management and assigned to named host servers. Connectors have specific requirements: OpenText Content Server needs a separate license, and Jira or Confluence access needs an account with access to the relevant content.
