A10 Thunder Kubernetes Connector
San Jose, California, United States
What it is
A10 Thunder Kubernetes Connector (TKC) monitors Kubernetes application lifecycles and updates an external Thunder ADC load balancer to route traffic to those applications. Running inside a Kubernetes cluster, it determines the NodePort assigned to a web service and dynamically configures Thunder ADC to balance traffic across Kubernetes nodes. This avoids manual provisioning of network resources for external access. A10 describes TKC for multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments, where Thunder ADC can apply consistent security and business policies across public and private clouds. Routing through the ADC provides a centralized view of application traffic and analytics for troubleshooting. TKC supports Terraform and Ansible for CI/CD integration and is listed as an automated Kubernetes service-discovery option. Related Thunder ADC capabilities include Layer 4–7 load balancing, customizable health checks, aFleX scripting, and TLS/SSL offloading. The self-hosted Linux solution uses an ingress API model, with rate limiting and a web application firewall listed. Pricing is on request.
