What it is
Voia is a virtual production system for filmmakers that combines live camera footage with virtual environments for on-set previews. Voia Box blends a camera’s SDI feed with real-time tracking, masking, and compositing, then sends the composite over SDI and wirelessly to an iPad app. Masking supports flat green, blue, or gray studio backgrounds, as well as isolating people against varied backgrounds. The Voia Tracker app uses an iPhone camera, LiDAR, and motion sensors for six-degree-of-freedom tracking. On iPad, users can tour virtual environments, save camera positions, shoot with the iPad or a connected camera, and review takes. Voia offers cloud rendering with Unreal Engine or Blender, plus automated tracking and relighting. Exports include HEVC at HD 1080, ProRes at 4K, and EXR sequences at 4K; tracking can be exported as FBX and point clouds as OBJ. Exported layers can be used with Nuke, Resolve, or After Effects. Private-cloud and on-premises deployment options are available for VFX houses. Pricing is on request.
