Veeam Agent for Linux
Seattle, Washington, United States
What it is
Veeam Agent for Linux protects Linux instances deployed on premises or in public clouds. Its free edition backs up entire computers, selected volumes, or individual files, and supports bare-metal, volume-level, file-level, and bootable-media recovery. True incremental backups use kernel-module changed block tracking together with built-in snapshots. Source-side encryption protects data before it leaves the protected computer. The agent integrates with Veeam Backup & Replication repositories and file-level recovery capabilities. Backups can be written to a Veeam-immutable hardened repository, cloud or on-premises object storage, and selected object-storage-based Veeam repositories. The free edition is distributed as RPM and DEB packages and supports default Linux distribution kernels from version 2.6.32 onward. Recovery can use shareable, time-limited access keys or tokens from a Veeam repository. Veeam offers a 30-day free, full-functionality commercial trial. Free edition users do not receive commercial support.
