VDO.Ninja
What it is
VDO.Ninja brings remote guests, smartphones, webcams, screen shares and audio feeds into OBS Studio or other browser-enabled production software. It uses peer-to-peer WebRTC for live video, audio and text. Rooms provide group chat and tools for managing multiple guests, and a VIEW link can be added to OBS as a Browser Source to capture a remote feed. Native iOS and Android apps publish one-way audio and video. The Android app can share a screen and run in the background, but it cannot view or listen to remote guests. The hosted service is free, with no downloads or sign-in, and customizable code is available for self-hosting. VDO.Ninja says call video, audio and text are not stored after a session ends. Direct peer-to-peer calls may reveal a participant's IP address and basic device or network information to peers. Forwarding through SFU or Meshcast is not end-to-end encrypted by default, and server-side recording is technically possible. Group rooms can handle around 30 guests depending on CPU and bandwidth; above around seven, video sharing between guests will likely need to be disabled.
