vAmigaWeb
What it is
vAmigaWeb is a free Amiga emulator for iPad, iPhone, Android devices, and web browsers. It runs in WebAssembly using the same cycle-exact core as the vAmiga Mac version. The site describes it as an installable progressive web app that can run offline; on iOS, users can add it to the home screen. Touchscreen controls include a virtual keyboard, configurable joystick, and customizable overlay buttons and key mappings, and external game controllers are supported. It can load multiple disks and ZIP archives, including multivolume ZIPs, and supports ADF, extended ADF, HDF, ADZ, HDZ, and ST images. A Kickstart system ROM is required, but the emulator does not provide copyrighted Commodore ROMs; free AROS and EmuTOS alternatives are offered. Snapshots and most settings use local browser storage, which the app asks to make persistent when possible. Saving is unavailable in private or incognito windows. Tools include a live memory viewer, RetroShell command line, activity monitors, and DMA bus visualization. Workspaces hold disks and settings and remain compatible across vAmigaCore upgrades, unlike snapshots that may not. The project is open source under the GNU General Public License.
