What it is
Universal USB Installer creates bootable USB drives from ISO files for operating systems and other bootable software. It covers Linux distributions, Windows installation media, recovery and backup utilities, antivirus and cybersecurity tools, disk cloning and forensics. One flash drive can hold multiple systems, installers and diagnostic or recovery tools, with support for modern UEFI and legacy BIOS. Persistent Linux Live USB storage is supported with persistence files up to 40GB. The newer UUI Py runs natively on Windows and Linux and can detect drives prepared by UUI, YUMI or Ventoy. Its tools include automatic ISO downloads, batch ISO additions, portable QEMU test booting and USB item management. Drive preparation offers NTFS, exFAT and FAT32, with exFAT selected by default. Secure Boot is supported by selecting VTOYEFI and enrolling its key through MokManager. Classic UUI requires Windows 11, 10, 8 or 7 and may also run on Linux through WINE. The software is free. Preparing or formatting a selected USB drive can erase existing data, including its volumes and partitions.
