Tanium Deploy
Kirkland, Washington, USA
What it is
Tanium Deploy is a software management module for installing, updating, and removing software across organizational endpoints. Administrators can target computer or user groups, departments, locations, or individual devices and users. Deployments may be one-time or ongoing, run during maintenance windows, or start automatically when rules are met. Packages combine source files, metadata, detection logic, and commands to manage software on Tanium Client devices. A predefined package gallery provides templates for third-party software, and a workbench helps teams build, maintain, and distribute packages. Administrators can also let users install, update, or remove approved software through Self-Service Profiles and Client Applications. Tanium says its architecture can support hundreds of thousands of endpoints from a single Tanium server without extra agents or infrastructure for Deploy. The module requires a Tanium license that includes Deploy, Tanium Core Platform servers, and a supported Tanium Client. Supported endpoint systems include Windows, macOS, and Linux, and each endpoint needs at least 2 GB of free disk space. Software bundles are limited to packages for one platform; mixed-operating-system bundles are unsupported. Pricing is on request.
