SWIFT-Review
Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, United States
What it is
SWIFT-Review is a free desktop workbench for shaping systematic reviews and prioritizing literature for screening. Statistical text mining and machine learning identify topics that appear often in a citation set and rank documents for manual review. Users can search, categorize, prioritize, visualize, and extract information from large citation collections. The ranking process requires an initial training seed, and the software does not estimate how many relevant articles remain above a selected threshold. Citation imports include PubMed IDs, PubMed XML, RIS files, and saved SWIFT Text-mining Project files. PMID imports retrieve citation data through NLM’s Entrez e-Utilities interface. Results can be exported to Excel, RIS, or plain tab-delimited text. Sciome provides Windows and Mac installers through its applications portal after users create or access a free account. Requirements list 64-bit Windows 7, 8, or 10, or 64-bit Mac OS X 10.8 or later, with 8 GB RAM recommended. Installation requires administrator access.
