Swan Cards
Paris, France
What it is
Swan Cards provides embedded banking tools that companies can add to their own products, including accounts, payments, and Mastercard debit cards. Swan positions the platform for European software companies building white-labeled banking services. Cards are available in virtual, physical, and digital formats, including single-use virtual cards, and work with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet for NFC payments. Partners can configure spending limits and payment rules by factors such as amount, currency, merchant, city, or country. The integration options include a GraphQL API, a ready-made web banking interface, and an open-source frontend for customized web banking. API calls must originate from a partner’s backend, not a frontend app. Swan says it is licensed by France’s ACPR as an electronic money institution and that client funds are held separately at BNP Paribas, with FGDR protection up to €100,000 per client if the bank defaults. A free Sandbox is available; paid services start at €2,990/mo.
