What it is
StoryBoom is a web-based storyboarding app for arranging images and descriptions into sequential narratives. Users can add, reorder, and duplicate scenes or entire storyboards, then choose how many scenes appear in each row. Director Tools 2.0 adds camera moves, arrows, symbols, cues, and editable custom text labels. Teams can manage boards, edit scene content, comment, and receive notifications when scenes or comments are added. Password-protected sharing supports email access, time limits, viewer-only or commenter roles, and revoking access. Storyboards export to PDF or to an HTML pack containing original images in full HD. The app is designed for modern browsers on desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones. Its Free Starter Plan costs nothing and allows up to three members, five storyboards, and 80 scenes with no time limit. A custom flexible plan keeps the first three users and first 80 scenes free, with larger capacity selected through a pricing calculator. After cancellation, projects have a 30-day grace period before deletion. Script-to-scene AI is listed as coming soon.
