SteamDB
What it is
SteamDB is a free, independent database covering the Steam catalog, with product information, player charts, regional price history and update histories. Its tools include discovery pages, search, patch notes, a Steam account calculator and Steam product databases. SteamDB says charts for the current top 800 games refresh every five minutes; charts for other games refresh every ten minutes using player counts returned by the Steam API. Its browser extension adds details to Steam pages, including regional lowest prices, player counts, update dates, links, and highlights for owned or wishlisted products. The extension is offered for Chrome, Firefox and Edge, with Firefox and Edge listed for Android. SteamDB has no native Android or iOS app, but its website is a Progressive Web App that can be installed on a device’s home screen. The site says it does not currently offer an API and prohibits automated scraping or crawling, which may lead to an automatic ban. Its data is provided without guarantees of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Sign-in uses Steam’s official OpenID provider and shares a public SteamID, not a username or password.
