What it is
Sound Credit is a workspace for sharing music files, reviewing recordings, tracking versions, and organizing credits. It accepts WAV, FLAC, MP3, OGG, and M4A uploads, and says other file types can also be stored for sharing. On compatible web browsers, WAV and FLAC can stream without transcoding. Users can create stream-only links, password-protect links, and set collaborator permissions. Timestamped comments, notes, and lyric collaboration support asynchronous work, while new versions are tracked and timestamped automatically. For credits and rights details, users can collect credits, record agreed splits, register an ISNI, and prepare split sheets for e-signature. Pro costs $14 a month and includes 28 credit and metadata export formats and registration workflows for BMI, ASCAP, and SOCAN. Business costs $17 a month and adds AFM and SAG-AFTRA forms and DDEX RIN files. Desktop sync automatically uploads files to cloud storage. Sound Credit lists TLS/AES 256 encryption for transfers and storage, and says user contributions are not used to train or evaluate AI or machine-learning models.
