Snipit
What it is
Snipit is a cloud service for saving, organizing, sharing, and collaborating on code snippets. Create snippets in the web app or capture code blocks from visited pages with a browser extension. Group items into lists and collections, add custom tags, and star favorites. Its syntax-colored editor supports 140 languages. Browser extensions are listed for Chrome, Safari, and Firefox; when a page has valid markup, an extension can fill in a snippet’s title, syntax, and tags. A VS Code extension can search a Snipit library and insert snippets into a project. Sign-in is available through Google or GitHub. The free Basic plan is for personal use and public sharing, with unlimited public snippets and limited technical support. Pro costs €5 a month, billed as €60 yearly, and allows private sharing with up to five users. Team costs €9 a month per user, billed yearly, with unlimited private sharing and priority technical support. Role-based access control, required organizational 2FA, and SAML SSO are marked as coming soon.
