Simply Guitar
What it is
Simply Guitar is an Android and iOS app that teaches guitar through interactive lessons and gives learners real-time feedback as they play. It is intended for all ages, and the app says no prior experience is needed. Lessons cover fundamentals, tabs, chords, chord changes, strumming techniques and technique exercises. Progress tracking and a tuner support practice. The first part of Guitar Basics I is free; advanced lessons and the Chord and Song Libraries require a subscription. In the Song Library, learners can browse by level, study songs step by step or play full versions. A seven-day free trial is available with the yearly plan, but not the monthly plan, and is limited to one per account or Apple ID. The app supports iPhone and iPad on iOS 15 or later and Android phones and tablets on Android 6 or later. Chromebook use may work but is not fully supported, and there is no Windows or desktop app. Microphone audio is processed live on the device for performance analysis and feedback. The privacy policy also describes possible finger-image capture for model training and sharing certain images with third-party AI services.
