Its hybrid modeling tools include assembly design, sheet-metal tools, surface modeling, and routed-systems tools for tubes, pipes, conduit, raceways, and HVAC ducts, with design-rule checking. NX is available for Windows desktop, while NX X Design adds browser-based access as a cloud SaaS product with built-in data management. Its four tiers—Essentials, Standard, Advanced, and Premium—share a core capability set and can exchange data with other Siemens Xcelerator software without translation. File support includes IGES, STEP, DXF/DWG, STL, and 3MF; NX X data exchange also lists JT, Solid Edge, and SolidWorks open. Design Copilot NX answers questions using documentation for the user’s NX version and can link to documentation or launch referenced commands. NX Inspector adds model-based characteristics for downstream quality and manufacturing, and NX Sketch Checker can identify and automatically correct common geometry issues.
