Sellwire
What it is
Sellwire is a web service for selling downloadable digital goods through product links. Sellers upload files and use Sellwire for checkout and delivery, while providing their own store or website. Examples of products listed by the service include plugins, scripts, ebooks, songs, videos, and photos. Sellers can upload multiple versions of a file; customers can access previous versions and receive alerts when a new version is added. Sellwire includes order tracking, receipt pages, per-file and overall reports, and a six-month breakdown report. Sellers can create fixed or percentage discount coupons with time or redemption limits, offer product upgrades, and generate software license keys with renewals and API validation. Payments are supported through PayPal and Stripe, and Sellwire says it adds no fees beyond those processors. Listed integrations include Google Analytics, Campaign Monitor, Slack, Mailchimp, and FreeAgent. The service lists EU VAT MOSS support and reporting for VAT MOSS and EC Sales List for B2B sales. The free plan allows one file; paid plans start at $9/mo. Files are limited to 300MB.

The verdict
Sellwire covers checkout, delivery, file versions, promotions, and order reporting for digital goods. Its one-file free tier and 300MB file cap are limits to weigh before choosing it.
Who it suits
Sellwire suits sellers who want to deliver digital downloads and manage orders through product links. Sellers need their own store or website, and the stated file limit makes it a poor fit for large files such as videos.
