SeedFinder
What it is
SeedFinder is a free web, API, self-hosted, Linux, and Windows toolkit for locating Minecraft structures from a world seed and player position. It supports Bedrock and Java contexts and lists villages, temples, ocean structures, ancient cities, mansions, portals, buried treasure, mineshafts, trail ruins, and trial chambers. The browser console runs scans locally through WebAssembly without an account, key, download, Minecraft-world connection, or third-party seed map. Its REST API accepts GET or POST requests and returns JSON, with examples for Python, Lua, and Node.js. The hosted API allows 60 requests per IP per minute, limits scan radius to 1,000 chunks, and caps results at 200. SeedCracker searches for Bedrock seeds matching selected structures near supplied coordinates and requires at least four structures with coordinates. Its hosted HTTP API is offline; the documented HTTP API runs locally. Flarial Client can display nearby structures in-game.
For and against
For
- Browser scans need no account or download
- Supports many structure types
- Provides JSON REST API access
- Includes Python, Lua, and Node.js examples
- Offers Flarial Client overlay integration
Against
- Hosted API allows 60 requests per IP per minute
- Scans cap at 1,000 chunks radius
- Results are limited to 200
- SeedCracker needs four structures with coordinates
The verdict
SeedFinder provides local browser tools, API access, and an overlay for structure discovery. Its request, radius, and result limits matter for large searches, while SeedCracker requires specific coordinate data.
Who it suits
It suits Minecraft players locating structures or searching for Bedrock seeds matching known layouts. Developers can also use the REST API or documented local HTTP API.
