Scrutinly
What it is
Scrutinly is a web-based fact-checking service for articles, claims, URLs, social posts, and images. It extracts checkable statements from text and reviews each against current web sources. URL checks fetch articles directly, so you can submit a link rather than paste its contents. Results classify claims as Supported, Unsupported, Mixed, or Satirical and provide links to cited sources. A stacked bar displays the proportions of Supported, Unsupported, and Mixed claims. Beta image analysis looks for signs of AI generation or changed context, then reports a probability and explanation; the service says these evaluations can be unreliable. Results remain in search history, and identical content can reuse cached output without token charges. JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WEBP uploads can be up to 5 MB. The Free plan costs nothing, Pro costs $12 a month, and Max costs $49 a month.
