Scribiz

Sanford, North Carolina, United States

What it is

Scribiz turns video links or uploaded files into transcripts, on-screen text, summaries, and chapters. It can use captions when they are available, then listen to audio when captions are missing or poor. Watch mode reads visible material such as slides and code and adds timestamps to notes. Outputs can be exported as SRT, VTT, TXT, Markdown, or JSON. YouTube, direct media links, podcast feeds, and uploads work best; TikTok, X, and Vimeo are best effort on the web, while Instagram links usually require uploading the file. Web uploads are limited to 100 MB and about 50 minutes of audio. Scribiz says local processing sends audio chunks, plus a small low-resolution copy when Watch needs it, rather than a whole video. Media is deleted after a job, and results expire after 24 hours or 30 days with an account. Its HTTP API runs asynchronous jobs with status and progress events, but no webhooks. A remote MCP server supports Claude, Cursor, and Codex.
