What it is
ScanScan, also known as Baimiao, is an OCR app for extracting text from images and scanning documents. It recognizes printed and handwritten text in horizontal or vertical layouts and supports multiple languages. Its camera detects document edges and captures and crops scans, with color, black-and-white, grayscale, and enhanced-original modes. Batch processing can combine OCR results or create PDFs, and image tables can be converted to Excel files. The browser version offers OCR, PDF-to-text export in DOCX or TXT, and recognition of up to 50 images at once. Translation covers Chinese, Japanese, English, Korean, French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, German, Portuguese, Italian, Cantonese, and classical Chinese.
