Saturn Cloud
Saturn Cloud · New York, NY, United States
What it is
Saturn Cloud is a control plane for GPU clouds that turns GPU fleets into token-metered AI services. It coordinates bare metal, managed Kubernetes, and managed Slurm for inference endpoints, training and fine-tuning, and GPU development workspaces. Workspaces include JupyterLab, VS Code, SSH, and persistent storage; listed languages include Python, R, Julia, and Java. By default, each customer receives a separate Kubernetes or Slurm cluster, without shared schedulers, etcd, or admission webhooks between customers. GPU-hour and inference-token use can be metered by user, project, and tenant, with invoicing data available by API and as a Snowflake view. Enterprise deployments can run in a customer's cloud account, and Enterprise data can remain in the user's AWS environment. Hosted offers free platform access, but resource use requires Pro. Hosted Pro charges by resource hours used, with compute and storage rates varying by instance; storage is listed at $0.10/GB-month. Saturn Cloud says it completed a SOC 2 Type 1 audit and that the application is backed up nightly by default, a setting it says cannot be changed.
For and against
For
- Supports inference, training, and fine-tuning workloads.
- Provides JupyterLab, VS Code, SSH, and persistent storage.
- Meters GPU-hour and inference-token usage.
- Free platform access is available on Hosted.
Against
- Hosted resource usage requires Pro.
- Hosted Pro compute rates vary by instance.
- Nightly backups are on by default and cannot be altered.
- No version history is listed.
The verdict
Saturn Cloud combines GPU workload orchestration with usage metering and customer-separated clusters. Free Hosted access covers the platform, but resource use requires Pro and its rates vary by instance.
Who it suits
It may suit teams operating GPU infrastructure for inference, training, fine-tuning, or development workspaces. Enterprise deployments are available in a customer's cloud account, while GPU cloud operators have a listed partner-program offering.
