Ryubing
What it is
Ryubing is an open-source Nintendo Switch emulator fork intended to provide a quality-of-life uplift for existing Ryujinx users. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and is licensed under MIT. Graphics support includes OpenGL 4.5 or later, Vulkan, and Metal through MoltenVK, with resolution scaling, anti-aliasing, filters, shader caching, and aspect-ratio adjustment. It accepts keyboard, mouse, touch, Joy-Con, and nearly all controllers; dual-Joy-Con motion controls require DS4Windows or BetterJoy. The interface manages downloadable content and supports romfs, exefs, and runtime mods such as cheats. Audio output is supported, but microphone input is not. Stable builds are published about monthly, while Canary builds follow each master-branch commit and are recommended only for experienced users. Documentation recommends at least 8 GiB of RAM and warns that less may cause poor gameplay or unexpected crashes. An optional translation cache intended to reduce game load times is enabled by default. The original Ryujinx project was discontinued on October 1, 2024.
