What it is
RubyMine is an integrated development environment for Ruby and Rails projects, including projects that do not use Rails. It runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows. The IDE offers AI-powered, type-aware completion, inspections, live templates, context-aware code search, and graphical debugging for Ruby, JavaScript, and CoffeeScript. Popular Ruby and Rails testing frameworks are supported with a graphical test runner. RubyMine integrates Ruby version managers, IRB, Pry, Bundler, Rake, and RuboCop. Version control support includes Git, GitHub, GitLab, Mercurial, Subversion, and Perforce. Remote interpreters and environments can use Docker, Docker Compose, WSL, Vagrant, or SSH. A terminal, HTTP client, Docker integrations, web technologies, and database tools associated with WebStorm and DataGrip are included. The non-commercial license is free, while individual commercial development costs $10.90 a month, billed monthly, with a 30-day trial.
