Rubrical
Cambridge, England, UK
What it is
Rubrical is a web-based AI teaching platform focused on geography departments. Teachers can upload PDF, Word, or image assessments and mark schemes, or create rubrics themselves. The system marks answers criterion by criterion against those rubrics, shows reasoning and evidence, and drafts feedback. Teachers approve every mark and feedback item before students receive it or an LMS receives it. Rubrical also drafts specification-aligned objectives, timed lessons, and tiered resources grounded in checkable sources. Approved marks generate assessment-objective breakdowns, question-difficulty rankings, at-risk student flags, misconception heatmaps, and plain-English queries. Work can arrive through Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, scans, or student hand-in links. Feedback can be simplified, enlarged, shown in OpenDyslexic, or translated into a student’s first language. It supports AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC/Eduqas, and user-supplied rubrics. Pricing is available by contacting Rubrical.
