What it is
Room EQ Wizard is measurement and analysis software for improving listening-room, studio, and home-theater acoustics, speaker and subwoofer placement, audio-chain performance, and equalization. It measures frequency response and distortion with logarithmic swept-sine signals and supports USB or analog measurement microphones and SPL meters. Analysis views include impulse and step responses, energy-time curves, spectral decay, waterfalls, spectrograms, reverberation time, distortion, phase, group delay, and real-time analysis. A signal generator produces tones, sweeps, bursts, multitone signals, pink noise, and white noise, with WAV export. EQ tools identify response peaks, assign filters, optimize settings, and display predicted waterfalls live. The Room Simulator supports up to eight subwoofers, with integrations for listed processors and devices. The free plan includes single-channel capture, measurement, RTA, and EQ tools.
