What it is
Íris Emulator is free, open-source software for running Atari 2600, Atari Lynx, and Atari Jaguar games on 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11. Its Atari 2600 core emulates the 6507 CPU and TIA and supports NTSC, PAL, and SECAM formats. Lynx emulation covers the 65C02, Mikey, and Suzy, with HLE boot for homebrew and support for a user-supplied boot ROM for commercial games. Jaguar support handles .j64 and .jag cartridges, RF Cable and S-Video filters, upscaling to 1080p, and Auto, 4:3, or 16:9 viewing. The interface includes a setup wizard, cover-art game list, TheGamesDB downloader, fullscreen mode, remappable keyboard and gamepad controls, and 10 save-state slots. VST3 audio effects can run in a reorderable chain. Optional Discord Rich Presence shows game details. ROMs and BIOS files are not included.
