RetroHub
What it is
RetroHub is a free frontend for organizing, displaying, and launching a retro-game library on Windows, macOS, and Linux. A first-time setup wizard helps users get started, and supported frontends can provide imported games and settings. RetroHub has built-in support for more than 80 systems and more than 50 emulators, while allowing users to add settings for others; emulators themselves are not included. Users can customize game metadata and media, and the built-in ScreenScraper tool can identify games by file hash or filename and fetch related information and media. ScreenScraper applies hourly and daily API quotas, and scraped media for a large library may require more than 1 GB of disk space. The interface adapts to screen size and aspect ratio, includes a screen-reader option, and supports keyboard, mouse, controller, and touch input. Keyboard and controller actions can be remapped, and a virtual keyboard is included. Users can switch themes, while theme developers can use themes to shape the interface and add features. RetroAchievements is an optional integration. Source code is available under the MIT License, while official builds use GPLv3 because of bundled third-party libraries.
