Progress Kemp LoadMaster
Burlington, Massachusetts, United States
What it is
Progress Kemp LoadMaster is an application delivery controller and server load balancer for managing application traffic. It provides Layer 4 and Layer 7 routing, persistence, health checking, SSL acceleration and offloading, and rule-based content switching. Its integrated WAF addresses OWASP Top Ten risks, SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and denial of service. Other protections include reverse proxy, single sign-on, pre-authentication, dual-factor authentication, IPS, and SSL bridging. GEO policies direct clients to datacenters by location or proximity and support failover and failback. Progress offers hardware, virtual, and cloud deployments for on-premises or cloud use. Cloud licensing can be pay-per-use or perpetual BYOL, with usage charges applying to consumption. Deployment guides cover Microsoft, VMware, Omnissa, Dell EMC, Citrix, and Oracle workloads. The temporary VLM-MAX trial license costs $0 for 30 days and includes Enterprise Plus Support, ESP, WAF, and GEO. It stops functioning when the trial expires.
