What it is
PolyWorks|Modeler is Windows desktop software for converting digitized part data into editable CAD geometry. It extracts curves, surfaces, parametric sketches and prismatic features from polygonal models. Point clouds can become polygonal models in real time, with repair tools for holes, smoothing, boundary cleanup, sharp-edge recovery and watertight surfaces. Editing operations include boundary extrusion, surface offsetting, fillet reconstruction and Boolean operations with CAD models. NURBS surfacing combines interactive curve creation and automatic surfacing for editable CAD-friendly results. Parametric 2D sketches use arcs, lines, circles and splines constrained by dimensions or relations. Add-ins are listed for CATIA V5-6, NX, Creo, Inventor and SolidWorks. Supported formats include POL, PQK, JT, Nastran NAS, OBJ, PLY, STL, VRML 2.0, IGES and STEP. Standard and Premium packages include one year of support and maintenance; pricing is available from a specialist.
