What it is
PerformrSCRIPT is a writing studio for screenplays and stage plays, currently in open beta. Its editor formats character cues, dialogue, and parentheticals in either script form. A cast list updates while you write and shows each character’s line count. An outline board turns scenes into cards with summaries, speakers, and page counts; moving a card reorders the script. A side notebook keeps ideas, stray lines, research, and to-dos beside the draft, and the software can print an individual actor’s lines and cues. Existing material can be pasted or imported from a PDF, creating editable lines and an extracted cast. Exports include PDF, Final Draft files, screenplays in Courier, stage plays in Times with a title page, and a production report. Completed scripts can be sent to PerformrSTAGE as productions with cast and scene speakers attached. The studio is free while being built with working writers and educators, with no public price yet.
