Peplink SD-WAN
What it is
Peplink SD-WAN combines edge routers with multiple fixed or cellular WAN links and manages them as a centrally controlled network. Connections such as xDSL, MPLS, cellular and fiber can be presented as one logical WAN. The system monitors link health and quality to steer application traffic, including directing real-time services over the lowest-latency link. Peplink says intelligent failover and active/active configurations can help maintain reliability when a link fails. InControl 2 provides cloud-based device management, monitoring, reporting and provisioning, including configuration and firmware updates. SpeedFusion VPN creates secure device-to-device tunnels over WAN links; SpeedFusion Bonding can combine provider links into one tunnel. The VPN uses only one WAN connection at a time and has no software client. Additional features include firewall rules, web blocking, deep packet inspection filtering and denial-of-service protection. FusionHub runs on several virtualization platforms, and InControl 2 offers an API. Pricing is on request; free InControl 2 management is available for qualifying in-warranty devices.
