PdfGPT
What it is
PdfGPT is a web service for reading, questioning and researching PDFs with AI. It creates structured notes with headings, key terms, definitions, examples, section summaries and page citations. Terms can become spaced-repetition flashcards, and notes can generate quizzes. Deep Research combines material from multiple PDFs into one note set, while OCR processes scanned handouts, photographed pages and image-based PDFs. Notes can be generated in 10 languages and exported as PDF, Markdown or plain text. The notes page accepts files up to 25 MB, and the free plan supports PDFs up to 500 pages, 25 notes per month and five Deep Research reports; trying it requires no signup. The Student plan costs $4.99 a month, billed monthly, for longer documents and research across files. PdfGPT says documents are encrypted in transit and at rest and are not used to train models. Free and Basic files are deleted every seven days, while paid plans allow a chosen deletion schedule. The service offers a Discord community and priority email support.
