ParadeDB
New York, New York, United States
What it is
ParadeDB adds full-text and vector search, filters, facets, and joins directly to PostgreSQL. Delivered as the pg_search extension, it runs inside standard Postgres without a fork or sidecar process. Documented query options include BM25 full-text, vector and hybrid search, fuzzy, phrase, proximity, and regex searches, plus filtering, sorting, and highlighting. Indexing covers columnar, vector, JSON, array, and composite data, with aggregates, facets, and joins for analysis. ParadeDB documents ACID transactions and consistent reads, and says index updates occur with application-data writes. Deployments can use ParadeDB Cloud, BYOC, Kubernetes with CloudNativePG, self-hosted PostgreSQL, or listed PaaS providers. Local setup is documented through a curl installer, Docker, or Postgres.app. Community is open source under AGPL-3.0 and free forever, but supports single-node deployments. Enterprise adds read replicas, high availability, and dedicated support with an SLA; Cloud is in private preview with pricing not stated.
