Paper
What it is
Paper is a connected design canvas for teams working with agents, bringing teams, agents, code and data into one design space built on web standards. Its HTML/CSS canvas exports designs as code and supports a workflow between the canvas and code. Agents can read and write the canvas to handle responsive layouts, style variations and consistency checks. Paper MCP lets agents generate layouts, bring in real content and turn selected frames into code, with setup paths for Claude, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Antigravity, GitHub Copilot and VS Code.
The Snapshot extension copies web components into Paper as editable layers. Users can also copy selections from Figma, though components, variables, masks and rich text are not fully supported. The Free plan costs nothing and includes unlimited viewers and editors, 100 MCP tool calls per week, limited image generation and a 25 MB maximum image size. Paid plans keep viewer seats free and start at 16 /user/mo on the listed annual basis. Paper runs on the web, Linux, macOS and Windows, with an extension available. Its DPA describes access, monitoring, incident response and network security controls, and excludes specified restricted data categories from customer content.
