What it is
Panasonic VariCam LUT Library is a free collection of 35 3D LUTs for displaying V-Log footage and creating artistic looks. It can also be used with EVA1 footage recorded in V-Log/V-Gamut. Three file formats support different workflows: .VLT for VariCam cameras, E-E.CUBE for post-production grading, and E-L.CUBE for monitoring with LUT box devices.
On VariCam cameras, LUTs can be applied independently to monitor outputs, the viewfinder, proxy files, or the master recording. Third-party LUT boxes can also use them to convert Log images for on-set monitoring. Listed host software includes DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, EDIUS Pro, Baselight, and Daylight. Panasonic generally advises against baking a LUT into the master recording because this limits later adjustments in post-production.
