PA File Sight
Shawnee, Kansas, USA
What it is
PA File Sight is an on-premises product for file integrity monitoring, ransomware protection, data loss prevention, and file access auditing. It records who creates, reads, changes, moves, or deletes files and folders, along with usernames, IP addresses, and computer names. For network-based ransomware, it uses honeypots, heuristics, and executable allow rules to detect attacks and stop them. Real-time rules can detect file copying and block access to cloud folders or external drives. The Lite and Ultra editions differ; Ultra adds historical reports and advanced alerts for file-copying activity or possible information leaks. Settings, databases, and network information stay on customer servers. An embedded database is included by default, with Microsoft SQL Server as an alternative. Communications use SSL/TLS by default, and stored credentials are encrypted with Microsoft's CryptProtectData function. A fully functional 30-day trial is available without a credit card or purchase. The central server and Satellite software require 64-bit Windows. Paid options include perpetual licenses and an Ultra subscription at $30 per month per monitored server or device for 1–9 devices.
